PROGRAM STUDY AND COMMERCIAL URBANISM
eaux-vives station – geneva
The site of the future Eaux-Vives station will be considered a new, centrally-located hub within the Geneva agglomeration. More than 35,000 people live within a kilometre of the site.
The considerations of the offices a-rr. and hsm integrate the density, mixed use and abundance of different activities and businesses, particularly in terms of commercial space.
The concept of centrality thus serves as a backdrop to the development proposals of the shopping mall. Our programmatic study is based on a precise analysis of the context, flows, categories of expected clientele and the behaviour of the latter.
Thus, the commercial programmes must respond qualitatively and quantitatively to the site of the new station in order to encourage and motivate the inhabitants of the district, with an ethical and ecological desire to reduce motorised travel, to visit.
