The Grands Esserts project is one of the ten strategic development sectors defined by the Canton of Geneva and the municipalities.
Located on the Vessy plateau in Veyrier, the perimeter is scheduled for urbanisation according to the Cantonal Plan 2030. The Grands Esserts sector will host a new district with 1,200 residential units on 11.5 hectares.
Close to Geneva and Carouge, and connected to the two future CEVA railway stations of Carouge-Bachet and Chapel-Hospital, the district will be accessible by all transport modes. Individual, collective or soft transport modes are taken into consideration at a local level, as well as at the cantonal and agglomeration levels.
The new urban quarter offers its residents and neighbours services in close proximity to their homes. A school, communal services (early childhood centre, town hall, etc.) and a communal shopping centre will add vibrancy to the area.
