The tower “Saint-Martin du Chêne”, classified with a heritage note 1, was closed to the public in 2013. The existing staircase no longer met safety standards.
Replacement of the existing quarter-turn staircase with a new spiral staircase leading the visitor to the covered walkway over 16 meters in height.
Creation of a volume which, due to its minimal anchorages, limits the damage to historical substance. Raw steel surfaces that corrode over time and integrate with the environment.
